AAE encourages members and colleagues to join Allergy & Asthma Day on Capitol Hill on May 3rd and 4th. The Allergy & Asthma Network will be sponsoring the virtual event and hosting a preparation webinar on April 28th.
Due to COVID-19, this year is going to look different from our previous in-person events. We want to provide you with more information so that you can commit to this incredible opportunity to advocate on behalf of people living with allergies, asthma and related conditions. The Network will once again partner with Soapbox Consulting, who will schedule all appointments for participants. This includes:
• both of your U.S. Senators;
• your U.S. House of Representative member for your city, town or village;
• additional established special relationships. At this time, the U.S. Capitol and surrounding congressional offices are still closed to the public. Congressional offices are managing in-person meetings on a case-by-case basis. AADCH meetings will be scheduled in-person and virtually depending on Congressional office practices. This situation is subject to change. We will provide updates as we get closer to the event. We expect all participants to set aside the entire day on Wednesday, May 4 to allow for the best possible chance to secure meetings. Finally, by committing to AADCH, we ask that you join us for a one-hour logistics and issues briefing on Thursday, April 28 at 4:00 pm ET.
